Using a unique growing-based locomotion principle, RoBoa growths to very long lengths. Our current prototype is 20 m long, with potential for much more!
The special design moves along windy paths and sharp, dirty, or slippery surfaces.
RoBoa works pneumatically. This makes it safe for explosive areas.
With an adaptable diameter of 5 – 10 cm, RoBoa can quickly enter spaces too tight for humans, drones, or other robots.
RoBoa is a soft robot. It neither harms humans nor scratches delicate surfaces.
The modular actuator system allows for precise 3D steering in all directions.
RoBoa carries different sensor configurations. Cameras, microphone, time-of-flight and other sensors can inspect, monitor, and map.
A supply line brings liquids to the front. Water, food, and medicine or cleaning liquids can be supplied.
The user can steer the robot, understand the environment, and perform real-time monitoring.
